Industrial and manufacturing

Safer plants and fewer stoppages, from one platform

RCC for industrial sites connects cameras, access control, OT systems and people, so you can prevent incidents, enforce safety rules and keep production running, at the plant edge and offline when it must be.

For plant heads and EHS managers

A plant map with live safety events by zoneA plant is drawn as eight zones. Assembly line 2 shows a missing helmet, Dock 3 a person near a forklift, the chemical store an entry without a permit, and the truck yard an overstay.Assembly line 2PPE rules onno helmetDock 3forkliftsperson near forkliftChemical storerestrictedno permitWarehouseracks A–FBoiler roompermit to workpermit ends 14:00Control roomline 2 runningGate Acontractors and truckscontractor checked inTruck yard12 baysoverstay · bay 7
  1. PPE and proximity analytics watch each zone by its own rules.
  2. Restricted zones and permits decide who may be where, and for how long.
  3. Gates, docks and yards are tracked from plate read to departure.

Outcomes

What industrial and manufacturing teams get

A factory floor with overhead cranes and machinery, and a worker walking between the lines
  • People kept safe

    • PPE checked where it is required
    • Alerts when people and vehicles get too close
    • Faster mustering and emergency response
  • Assets and materials protected

    • Contractors and trucks checked at the gate
    • Docks, yards and stores watched
    • Restricted areas enforced
  • Production kept running

    • Machine state and stoppages in one view
    • Visual quality checks on the line
    • Faults turned into maintenance work orders

Capabilities

Capabilities for industrial and manufacturing

  • Plant model and maps

Sites, buildings, lines and zones, drawn once and used everywhere.

  • PPE compliance

Helmets, vests, gloves and goggles checked by zone and by shift.

  • Restricted zones

Entry rules by role, permit and time, with safety observations logged.

  • People, machines and vehicles

Proximity alerts between people, forklifts and moving machinery.

  • Permit-to-work

Permits tied to zones and people, with alerts when work runs past its permit.

  • Lockout/tagout

Isolation steps tracked, so no machine restarts with a person inside.

  • Hazards and emergencies

Fire, gas and spill events with mustering and evacuation.

  • Machine state

Running, idle and stopped, from OT signals and cameras together.

  • Visual quality

Camera checks on the line that flag defects for review.

  • Gates and contractors

Visitors, contractors and trucks checked in with plates and passes.

  • Docks, yards and materials

Dock doors, bays, dwell times and material movements.

  • OT and ERP integration

OPC UA and Modbus on the plant floor, work orders to your ERP.

Expected versus actual

Tell RCC what should happen, and it watches for the difference

Write operational rules in plain terms: the dock door stays closed outside loading windows, the boiler room has a permit holder present, the line runs with its guards in place. RCC raises any difference with the video and data behind it, and lets you try a rule on last month’s events before it goes live.

Three hold, one differs (the dock door opened outside its loading window), and one has no data because its sensor stopped reporting.Plant 1 · operational rulesline 2 runs with guards closedboiler room has a permit holder presentcontractors leave by 18:00dock 3 closed outside loading windowscold store below 4 °CDIFFERENCE — dock 3 opened at 02:14video attached · incident opened
  1. Each rule states what should be true, in the plant’s own terms.
  2. A difference raises an incident with the video and data behind it.
  3. A rule whose signal stopped is shown as unknown, never as holding.

QWorks Gatehouse

Start with one gate

Not every plant needs a command centre on day one. QWorks Gatehouse automates your goods gate on one box, and RCC adds safety analytics and more sites when you need them.

See QWorks Gatehouse
  • Plate read at the gate

Each truck identified as it arrives, and its visit opened from the read.

  • Unloading and billing

The unloading team alerted, the unload recorded, payment by UPI or card and the bill printed.

  • Offline, licensed once

One box at the gate that keeps working without the internet, on a licence you buy once.

Questions

What industrial and manufacturing teams ask

Does it connect to our OT network?

Yes, over OPC UA and Modbus, read-only by default. Any write to equipment is an explicit, approved and recorded action.

Can it run without the internet?

Yes. Each plant runs on its own servers and can be fully air-gapped.

How are workers’ privacy and rights protected?

Safety analytics need no identity to work, access to video follows roles, and workforce reports cannot single out a person.
