Capabilities

What video analytics in RCC does

  • Analytics as data

An analytic is a definition of models, graph, rules and event schema. Adding one is configuration, not a new service to run.

  • Perception rules

Line crossing, zones, loitering, counting, crowds, PPE, falls, weapons, fire and smoke, and tailgating.

  • A cell per server

Scheduler, media, scene and inference run together; one server is one cell, and you scale by adding servers.

  • GPU or CPU

Models are chosen by capability and version, and run on the GPU or CPU each server has.

  • Search by attribute or in plain words

A track store and attribute index answer “red jacket, backpack, north gate, after 9 pm”.

  • Summaries and descriptions

Video synopsis, event summaries and natural-language descriptions for faster review.

  • Analytics you can trust

A reliability score for each channel and engine, and confidence drift tracked with its interval, so a degrading camera is noticed.

  • Your own models

A model lab for datasets, training, evaluation and deployment alongside the built-in analytics.

How it works

From choosing an analytic to acting on it

Each camera decoded once, then scene, inference and rules, ending in an eventFive stages run left to right: camera streams, a single decode per camera on the GPU, scene tracking, model inference and perception rules, which raise an event. Below, three outcomes: an alert with its clip, a counted metric, or nothing to report.camera streamsRTSP · ONVIFdecode onceGPU when presentscenetracks · zonesinferencemodels by pinrulesline · zone · PPEalert with clipcounted metricnothing to report
  1. Every camera is decoded once, on the GPU when there is one, and shared by every analytic that needs it.
  2. Scene tracking and model inference run in a cell: one server is one cell, and more servers add more cells.
  3. Perception rules turn tracks into events: a line crossed, a zone entered, a helmet missing.
  1. Choose analytics

Pick from the catalogue and draw zones and lines on each camera.

  2. Place them

RCC schedules each analytic onto a cell with the right model and hardware.

  3. Tune

Thresholds, schedules and severities per camera and per site.

  4. Act

Events become incidents with their clips, SOPs and evidence.

Where it is used

Where the analytics earn their keep

  • Perimeter protection

Intrusion and loitering on fences, gates and roofs.

  • Workplace safety

PPE, falls and restricted zones on the plant floor.

  • Retail and venues

    Counting, queues and heatmaps.

  • Public safety

Weapons, crowds, fire and smoke in public spaces.

On the RCC platform

Stronger next to the rest of RCC

An analytic’s event opens its clip, starts the SOP for its zone and joins the incident, and the copilot can summarise what followed, all on the same console.

Questions

What buyers ask

Do analytics need the cloud?

No. They run on servers at the site, next to the cameras, and keep working without an internet connection.

Can we add analytics later?

Yes. Analytics are configuration on the same cells; adding one does not mean adding a product.

Run the analytics on your own footage

Send a recording from one of your cameras. We will show what RCC’s analytics detect in it, and what the copilot says about it.
